Cityfool.tv is a woman-owned business based in the city of St. Louis.  Founded in 2008 by two documentarians, Cityfool.tv has worked with a wide range of businesses and organizations in the St. Louis area, including the St. Louis Convention and Visitor’s Commission, The Regional Arts Commission, the St. Louis Black Rep, the Loretto-Hilton, City Museum, the World Famous Saint Louis Zoo, and the Missouri History Museum.  As a member of the Civil War Planning Committee, a group of over 20 local organizations such as the U.S. Grant State Historic Site, Bellefontaine Cemetery, and Mercantile Library, Cityfool.tv is producing a large scale web project aimed at educating people about St. Louis’ role in the Civil War and attracting visitors to the St. Louis area for Sesquicentennial Commemoration activities and tourism.

               

Amanda Aschinger, producer and majority shareholder

A writer/producer for over 13 years, Amanda’s projects have included television documentary (Camp River Dubois, an hour long doc featuring the Hartford, Illinois historic site and the Lewis and Clark expedition, and Local Color: the production of a play at the St. Louis Black Rep), multiple web projects (such as the series An Insider’s Tour: St. Louiswith the St. Louis CVC), and client projects (a recent project for a local non-profit, The Shrine to Our Lady of the Rosary, is available to view on YouTube.) In addition to writing and producing duties, Amanda has conducted hundreds of hours of interviews with people of all types – historians, artists, business professionals, Man on the Street, etc.  Amanda received an MBA from Webster University and has taught in the Video Production Department at Webster for four years.

Oleg Passer, director/shooter/editor and minority shareholder

Over the course of the past 13 years, Oleg has directed and edited documentaries (Camp River Dubois and Local Color), situation comedy (Scout’s Honor), web projects, and a large number of client videos for organizations such as the St. Louis Convention and Visitor’s Commission and local businesses like Harvest Restaurant.  Though proficient at studio shooting, the majority of Oleg’s work has been filmed on location, and he has a unique ability to create vibrant and interesting frames in any type of environment.  Oleg often operates his own microphone for interviews and has acted as sole director/camera/ sound on several projects.   As an editor, Oleg has thousands of hours of experience sifting through long interviews to get to the heart of the story and craft an engaging and well-communicated piece.
